Behaviour: This worker uses her mandibles to transport crumbs of soil which she has taken from her underground burrow. She is about to deposit them on the sandy soil. Several ants also tirelessly carried material out of the burrow. In a short time, a crumbly heap of ejected material was formed in front of the entrance to the burrow.
