Who is SwissNature.org run for?
We run SwissNature.org for PEOPLE, not for AI crawlers (or other crawlers).
(AI) crawlers are tolerated if they make fewer than one request every 3 seconds. This also applies to crawlers that access the internet via connections provided by well-known telecoms providers such as British Telecommunications Plc, SKY UK Limited, Vodafone Ltd UK, Virgin Media Limited UK, TalkTalk Communications Limited UK and similar companies, thereby masquerading as human users.

More than 10 requests per second per crawler are indicative of the boundless greed of the crawler operators and a lack of respect for us as the creators of all content and, unless otherwise stated, the holders of all rights. This greed results in an incredible consumption of electrical energy, not only in AI data centres, but on every web server. These costs are borne by the web server operators, not by the (AI) crawler operators. You can read here what we expect from the operators of AI crawlers.
